NC Lab/Medical Examiner's Office

Customer: BE&K Building Group
This will be the new home of the State of NC Laboratories and Medical Examiner's offices. It is located directly across from the RBC Center on District Drive. Coates' contract includes clearing, grinding, LEED certified erosion control including bio-retention basins, under drain systems, all grading, backfilling, water and sewer, creek crossing in a sensitive wetland creek, curb and gutter, stone base, paving and seeding. The job is currently ahead of schedule and the building pads were two weeks ahead of schedule when the building construction began in early May.
The job started in February 2010 and will last 18 months.

Corinth Archer High School - (Photo Gallery)
Owner: Johnston County Board of Education
Site of 100 plus acres with roadways, parking lots, clearing. grading, erosion control, mass excavation, water lines, sewer lines, storm drainage, curb and gutter, irrigation, sodding, retaining walls, athletic fields, running track, paving, striping, and signage requirements. This is a Turn Key site package award. The job started in 2008 and finished in June, 2010.

Coats Commercial Park - (Photo Gallery)

Industrial Park including roadways, curb and gutter, turn lanes on SR 1010, water and sewer lines, storm drainage systems for roadways and all lots, seeding, erosion control, stone base preparation and paving, thermoplastic striping on highways.



NC 210 / Old Fairground Road widening project

Widening NC 210 to three lanes including clearing, off site borrow, grading, storm drainage, seeding, base asphalt, mid course asphalt, grinding, milling, and resurfacing entire roadway. (Striping work performed by NCDOT)



C3 Church

C3 Church project was completed in 2007. This project included clearing, erosion control, wetland management, water lines, sewer lines storm drainage, retainage ponds, building site grading, off site borrow from US 70 Bypass, curb and gutter, stone base and asphalt paving. The sewer outfall portion of the project included abandoning the Polenta sewer lift station for Johnston County Public Utilities and relocating the gravity sewer to connect the new Church and to Polenta Elementary School.
