This will be the new home of the State of NC Laboratories and Medical
Examiner's offices. It is located directly across from the RBC Center on
District Drive. Coates' contract includes clearing, grinding, LEED certified
erosion control including bio-retention basins, under drain systems, all
grading, backfilling, water and sewer, creek crossing in a sensitive wetland
creek, curb and gutter, stone base, paving and seeding.
The job is currently ahead of schedule and the building pads were two weeks
ahead of schedule when the building construction began in early May.
The job
started in February 2010 and will last 18 months.
